VISTORS TO THE 2012 OLYMPICS
We are 10-15 minutes from Ebbsfleet Station by car; it
is then only 11 minutes by high-speed train into Stratford Station,
which serves the main Olympics venues. Train times, and prices and parking information are available on
We're close to exit 3 of the M25, so head
for exit 3 of the M25. It's commonly known as the Swanley,
or M20/A20 junction.
At exit 3, take the A20, following the signs
for Brand's Hatch. Ignore the signs for the M20.
Go across the next two roundabouts (first
after about 200 yards, the next after about a mile) still
following the signs for Brand's Hatch.
Just under a mile after the second roundabout,
you'll find yourself going up a long straight up-slope.
Towards the top is a left turn signposted to Longfield.
Turn left at this junction.
After another mile, there's another left turn
signposted Longfield and Ash. Take that left turn.
Immediately after the left turn you go under
a big bridge (it's the M20 motorway), and after that turn
immediately right, signposted to Ash.
About 200 yards there's a left fork, going
up the hill. Take the left fork, the name of the road is
Roger's Wood Lane.
After about half a mile you come to a crossroads,
with the Ash village sign straight ahead. Go straight over
the crossroads.
About 200 yards up that road on the left is
our drive, signed Nine
Acres. It's a steepish drive. Go up that, and park in the
area you come to.
The entrance to the house and the B&B
is up the steps on the right of the main garage and parking
area.
If coming by rail, there are also a number
of alternatives:
There are also many local Indian, Thai, Chinese and traditional
English restaurants in the area and some also offer a delivery
service.
Nine Acres Bed & Breakfast
We are a small friendly family run B&B set in a countryside location in the village of Ash. It has a pretty garden, with a patio, and has fields all around. We pride ourselves on a high standard of custom tailored to suit
individual needs. The proprietor is Mrs Victoria Whitehead.
Formerly on the main thoroughfare from Canterbury
to Sandwich, Ash would have seen many famous historical travellers,
including the Kings and Queens of England. It has now been
bypassed and enjoys the gentle bustle of local village life.
